Data Usage Monitor Privacy Policy
Data Usage Monitor helps you view network-usage information on your device. This notice explains how the app handles information when you use it.
Information used by the app
The app samples Android device-wide traffic counters and estimates mobile and Wi-Fi totals by assigning each sampled change to the connection active when it is measured. This cannot precisely separate simultaneous traffic or match a carrier bill. Estimated totals and display history are kept on your device unless you choose to export them to a document location. The app does not require an account or operate a developer server for this information.
Advertising and consent
The app uses Google Mobile Ads to show advertising. Before requesting ads where consent is required, the app presents Google’s consent flow and provides a way to revisit privacy choices. Google and its advertising partners may process online identifiers, IP address, device and app information, ad interactions and diagnostic information as described in Google’s Privacy Policy. Unity Ads may also serve ads through mediation and process identifiers, approximate location, diagnostics, advertising interactions and purchase-related information under Unity’s Privacy Policy. For Unity ads, the app applies a publisher restriction opting out of targeted advertising; this does not make advertising data anonymous. Google’s privacy choices remain available, and the exact choices depend on your region and consent selection.
Optional Remove Ads purchase
If you choose to buy Remove Ads, Google Play or Galaxy Store processes the payment. The app sends the store, app package, product and purchase receipt or token to a protected verification service to validate and restore the purchase. Network-usage totals and allowance settings are not sent with that request. A verified purchase may be cached locally for up to seven days so ad removal can continue offline. Remove Ads suppresses banner, native, interstitial and app-open ads; usage estimates, allowance settings, corrections and history remain available without paying. Store transaction information remains subject to the applicable store’s terms and privacy policy.
Permissions and device services
The app uses Android network-state information to identify the active connection when it samples device traffic counters. If you set a data allowance, it may request notification permission to show local alerts as the estimated total approaches that allowance. Background sampling uses Android’s scheduled-work service. You can manage notification permission and app data in Android settings.
Sharing and retention
The developer does not sell the network-usage information displayed by the app. Usage estimates and display history stay on your device until you delete local usage history, clear the app storage, or uninstall it. Allowance settings remain until you change them, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. You can export the displayed 30-day usage estimates and configured allowance as a JSON document to a location you choose. The export does not contain advertising or purchase tokens. A document provider you select may keep its own copy; the app does not automatically send this export to our verification service. When purchase verification is enabled, our service hosted on Cloudflare processes purchase receipts and stores purchase identifiers, store order references, verification results and timestamps to restore purchases, prevent duplicate requests, and check cancellations or revocations. Usage totals, corrections and allowance settings are not included. The service processes the connecting IP address and keeps IP-derived hashes and short-lived request counters to limit abuse. A hash can still relate to a device or transaction; it is not a promise of anonymous data. Short-lived request records expire within minutes; ownership records expire after seven days. Where created, lifecycle/event records may remain for up to one year and transaction indexes/checkpoints for up to two years from their latest write. Cleanup can be delayed by outages or platform maintenance; these are not exact deletion-time guarantees or statements about provider backups. Advertising information and the stores’ own transaction records remain subject to their respective policies.
Your choices
You can change app permissions in Android settings, review advertising privacy choices in the app when available, export local usage information, or delete local usage history from the app. Deleting usage history resets measurement history and its counter baseline, while preserving your allowance settings, advertising privacy choices and purchase entitlement. It does not delete any previously exported document. You can also clear all app storage or uninstall the app. Clearing app storage or uninstalling does not remove server-side purchase records. There is currently no in-app control for deleting server records. For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact contact@zoopet.in.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13.
